The main element of this project was the installation of hit and miss fencing, also known as alternating board fencing. This style is ideal for customers looking for a balance between privacy, airflow, and durability.
We constructed the fence using high-quality, pressure-treated timber fixed to sturdy posts, ensuring long-term resistance against the elements. The boards were installed alternately on either side of the rails, creating a striking, modern appearance while allowing wind to pass through—reducing strain on the structure during harsher weather.
This Shoreham project is a great example of how combining practical fencing with a stylish garden feature can completely transform an outdoor space. The hit and miss fencing delivers strength and modern appeal, while the pergola creates a focal point.
If you’re looking to upgrade your garden with bespoke fencing or a custom pergola, this type of installation offers the perfect blend of durability, privacy, and design
